CHIP SCOTT (Lighting Designer) is Professor Emeritus at the Entertainment Technology Dept. at City Tech, CUNY. He specializes in automated lighting, CAD skills and pre-visualization for designers and technicians.
Chip has designed lighting for hundreds of musicals, dance and theatre productions; including the revival of The Mystery of Irma Vep (Off/B’way); Perry Dance; NY Fringe Festival; Independent Films; NY Fashion Shows; Forged in Fire with Okello Kelo Sam at City Tech’s Theatreworks; Brooklyn College; and B.B King in Concert at the Bardavon Theatre. He was the production manager for Bruce and Bruce Scenery, Acadia Scenic, and co-owns Chartoff/Scott Studios with his wife Norma where they built Olympus on My Mind, and Romance! Romance! (Off-B’way). He was the Lighting Designer/TD at Wagner College on Staten Island and at Coe College in Iowa. Chip is a member of IATSE USA 829.
