Natasha Katz has designed lighting for many varieties of entertainment, including Broadway, dance, opera, concerts, regional theatre, off-Broadway, Las Vegas, TV and permanent lighting installations. She is a six-time Tony Award winner whose recent Broadway credits include: Frozen, Meteor Shower, Springsteen on Broadway, Hello, Dolly! (starring Bette Midler), Cats, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, School of Rock, An American in Paris, Aladdin, The Glass Menagerie, Once, The Coast of Utopia: Salvage, Aida, and Beauty and the Beast.
Her West End credits include: An American in Paris, School of Rock, The Glass Menagerie (Olivier nomination 2017), Aladdin, Motown, Skylight, Sister Act, Once, and Buried Child (National Theatre). Dance credits include: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Tryst, and The Winter’s Tale (Royal Ballet), Cinderella (Dutch National Ballet), Carnival of the Animals (NYCB), Swan Lake (Edinburgh Festival), and The Nutcracker (Joffrey Ballet). Opera credits include: two productions of Norma (both starring Joan Sutherland), Cyrano at the Metropolitan Opera, and New York City Opera’s production of Die Soldaten. Concert acts include: Shirley MacLaine, Ann-Margret, Tommy Tune, and most recently Prince’s 2014 SNL appearance. Permanent lighting installations include: Niketown NYC and London, the Big Bang at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, and The Masquerade Village at the Rio Casino.
