JvBJim van Bergen’s clients include Big Apple Circus, Blue Man Group, Metropolitan Opera, NY Philharmonic, His Holiness Pope John Paul II, Martha Graham Dance Company. He’s designed sound for more than two dozen productions for Little Orchestra Society at Lincoln Center, and over 200 original designs including   All in the Timing, Bunny Bunny, Cambodia Agonistes, and Nunsense as well as the Broadway revival of True West,  tours of ART, It Ain’t Nothing but the Blues, and The Harlem Nutcracker.

Ken Billington

Ken BillingtonKen Billington started his career with the off-Broadway hit Fortune and Men's Eyes. Since then he has designed over 80 Broadway and 70 Off-Broadway shows including Chicago,Fame, Lily Tomlin in The Search for Signs..., Footloose, Candide, Annie, Foxfire,Tru, Sweeney Todd, Side by Side by Sondheim, On the Twentieth Century, Annie Warbucks, Sylvia,London Suite, and Snoopy. Other projects include Fantasmic! at Disneyland, Jubilee! at Bally's Las Vegas supervising Riverdance and for 26 years the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Ken is the recipient of the Tony, Drama Desk, Los Angeles Drama Critics, and Ace Awards and the Lumen for his architectural lighting.

Ken Travis

Numerous regional theaters and companies including: 5th Avenue Theater (White Christmas, Sunday in the Park with George, Hello Dolly, Mame, Into the Woods, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Rep, The Guthrie Theater, Dallas Theater Center, McCarter Theater, Playwrights Horizons, The New Group, NYSF Public Theater, CSC, SoHo Rep, The Civilians, Mabou Mines, and festivals across Europe and the US. When not designing theater Ken is a FOH and monitor engineer for rock bands and groups across the globe.

Specialties: Sound reinforcement for theater and rock venues.

Jennifer Tipton, Special Guest

Jennifer TiptonJennifer Tipton (Lighting Designer) is well known for her work in theater, dance and opera. Her recent work in opera includes Gounod’s ROMEO ET JULIETTE directed by Bart Sher at the Metropolitan. Her recent work in dance includes Alexei Ratmansky’s SHOSTAKOVICH TRILOGY for American Ballet Theater and the San Francisco Ballet. In theater her recent work includes Richard Nelson’s first Gabriel Family plays at the New York Shakespeare Festival in New York. Her recent work on Broadway is THE TESTAMENT OF MARY starring Fiona Shaw. Ms. Tipton teaches lighting at the Yale School of Drama. She received the Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize in 2001, the Jerome Robbins Prize in 2003 and in April 2004 the Mayor’s Award for Arts and Culture in New York City. In 2008 she was made a United States Artists “Gracie” Fellow and a MacArthur Fellow.

 

 

Bob McCarthy

Bob McCarthyBob McCarthy has been involved in the design and analysis of sound systems for over 30 years. As a pioneer in the development of Meyer Sound’s SIM System he has helped push the science of tuning sound systems from the laboratory into the practical world of theaters, arenas and stadiums. Bob is recognized worldwide as a leading specialist in sound system design and optimization and has shared his experience through the years via seminars and multiple books on the subject. Bob’s current role is Director of System Optimization at Meyer Sound and his book, Sound Systems: Design and Optimization, is preparing to be released in its third edition.

Howard KaufmanHoward has worked in Pro Audio for over 40 years. His experience includes: Guitar and Keyboard, Audio Maintenance, Conference Audio, Radio and TV Audio, Music Recording, Roadie, Live Concert mixing, Corporate Event Audio, Studio recording, Studio Owner, Studio Design, Music Mastering, Wireless Microphones, A/V System Design. Currently Technical Representative and Northeast Territory Sales Manager for Lectrosonics.

Donald Holder

donald holderVia Wikipedia: Donald Holder is an American lighting designer in theatre, opera, and dance based in New York. He has been nominated for eleven Tony Awards, winning the 1998 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design as well as the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lighting Design for The Lion King. He won a second Tony in 2008 for the revival of South Pacific.[1] His lighting design for Ragtime has been nominated for a 2010 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical.[2] Additional Broadway credits include: Big Fish, Annie (revival), Golden Boy, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Arcadia, The Motherf**cker With The Hat, Promises, Promises, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Radio Golf, The Little Dog Laughed, Movin' Out, The Times They Are a-Changin', A Streetcar Named Desire, Holiday,Cyrano de Bergerac, and Prelude to a Kiss.[1]He was the theatrical lighting designer for seasons one and two of the NBC-Universal Television Series: 'Smash.'

Stacey Boggs is a New York based Lighting Designer. She is currently the Lighting Supervisor for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. She has also worked as a Lighting Supervisor for The Wooster Group and as the Technical and Lighting Director for Ailey II. She has designed for choreographers Bill T. Jones, Troy Powell, Robert Moses, Christopher Wheeldon, Carlos Dos Santos, Chang Yong Sung, and Stephane Boko.

M Florian StaabM Florian Staab is a Sound Designer and Composer based in New York.

Staab writes music and designs sound for Theater, Opera, Dance and other live performance events.
He also enjoys mixing and recording live performances.

His designs have been heard in over 100 productions around the US and internationally. Recent designs include work for the Public Theatre, the Irish Rep, the Pearl Theatre Company, Drama League, Partial Comfort, Culture Project, Keen Company, Chicago Opera Vanguard and others. Staab is the resident sound designer at the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference.

Scott C. Parker - Producer

Scott C. ParkerScott C. Parker: has been a freelance lighting designer for over 30 years and is currently the Director of Event Lighting for IMS Technology Services. Scott produces the annual Stage Lighting Super Saturday workshop in New York City, co-founded with the infamous Sonny Sonnenfeld in 2005. Scott served as Chair for the USITT NY Area Section and is active at the annual USITT national conferences. Rutgers, Temple, Columbus State, Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, Pace, City Tech, City College, Edward R. Murrow School, and Berkeley Carroll School have all enjoyed, or put up with, his teaching.
