Chip ScottCHARLES SCOTT (Lighting Designer) is the Chair of the Entertainment Technology Department and Professor of Lighting Design and Technology at City Tech, CUNY. He specializes in automated lighting, CAD skills and pre-visualization for designers and technicians. He is a producer of The Gravesend Inn, a Haunted Hotel at City Tech and also designs and automates the animated characters. Chip has designed lighting for dozens of musical theatre productions and the 2007 revival of The Mystery of Irma Vep (Off/Off/B’way), Perry Dance; NY Fringe Festival; Independent Films, NY Fashion Shows; Forged in Fire with Okello Kelo Sam and Dylan at City Tech’s Theatreworks; Gray Wig (at Hofstra Univ.); Wagner College; Brooklyn College; Phyllis Chen's Down the Rabbit Hole: and B.B King in Concert at the Bardavon Theatre. He was the production manager for Bruce and Bruce Scenery, Acadia Scenic, and co-owned Chartoff/Scott Studios with his wife Norma where they built Olympus on My Mind, and Romance! Romance! (Off-B'way). In addition to the last 21 years at City Tech, he was the Technical Director/Lighting Designer at Wagner College on Staten Island and Coe College in Iowa. Chip is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
